OPPO R9s and R9s Plus with 5.5-inch and 6-inch 1080p displays, 16MP front and rear cameras announced

OPPO just announced its flagship R9s and R9s Plus smartphones at an event in China. The OPPO R9s has a 5.5-inch 1080p display with 1.66mm ultra-narrow frame and 77.5% screen-to-body ratio and is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 processor, while the OPPO R9s Plus comes with a 6-inch 1080p display with 1.78mm narrow bezel, 79% screen-to-body ratio and is powered by the latest  Octa-Core Snapdragon 653 processor . Both the smartphones run Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with ColorOS 3.0, have a 16-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX398 sensor, f/1.7 aperture with dual-focus technology and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. ZTE’s nubia just announced nubia Z11 miniS, the company’s latest smartphone in the Z11 series in China. It packs a 5.2-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass display, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 processor and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with nubia UI 4.0. OnePlus launches Online Store in India

OnePlus has finally launched its online store in India, just in time for the festive season. Unlike its US and Europe online store, it is currently selling only accessories through the store and its smartphones are exclusive to Amazon.in in the country. It is selling OnePlus 3 accessories like Tempered Glass Protector, Protective Cases, Flip Cover, Otterbox Case and some bundles for the smartphone. Accessories for the OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X such as cases are also available in the store. Other accessories include, Dash Type-C Cable, Dash Power Adapter and Dash Car Charger for the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus Icons earphones that was launched  last year. Google Pixel and Pixel XL up for pre-order on Flipkart in India starting at Rs. 57000

Flipkart has started taking pre-orders for the Google  Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones in India starting at Rs. 57,000, it had promised . Both these were announced  at an event in San Francisco last week. The Pixel has a 5-inch 1080p screen with a 2,770mAh battery, while the Pixel XL has a 5.5-inch Quad HD screen with a 3450mAh battery. Both these are powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 821 processor with 4GB of RAM, run Android 7.1 (Nougat), have a 12.3-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, PDAF, LDAF, 8-megapixel front-facing camera and a fingerprint sensor on the back. Flipkart is offering No Cost EMI, up to Rs. 27,000 off on exchange and free EGVs worth 10% of the cost of phone for first 1000 pre-orders. Samsung starts mass production of Exynos 7 Dual 7270 14nm processor with built-in LTE for wearables

Samsung has announced that is has started mass production of Exynos 7 Dual 7270 processor for wearables that is based on 14nm FinFET process technology. It also has LTE modem integration, making it the first in class with built-in LTE. It recently started mass production of Exynos 7 Quad 7570 14nm processor for budget smartphones and IoT devices. The Exynos 7270 uses Samsung’s innovative packaging technology, SiP (system-in-package)-ePoP (embedded package-on-package) that promises outstanding performance and energy-efficiency within a compact solution optimized for wearable devices. This technology combines the AP, DRAM and NAND flash memory chips as well as the PMIC (power management IC) together into a single package. Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge update in India brings WiFi calling, better performance and more

Samsung has rolled out a new update for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge smartphones in India that brings stability improvements and bug fixes and further improvements to the performance, in addition to performance improvements rolled out in the update back in August. This update was actually rolled out at the end of September for Galaxy S7. It also brings WiFi calling support that can be seen in the quick settings. Samsung has released a teaser for a new smartphone in China that says The next big thing is coming.  The image in the teaser shows a phone with metal body. The camera is present in the centre and there are antenna lines are seen above it. This could be the rumored Galaxy C9 that surfaced in benchmarks recently.
