Samsung and Google have teamed up to make Google Play Music as the default music player for all Samsung phones and tablets starting with flagships Galaxy S8 and S8+ globally. Google is also collaborating with Samsung to create special features in Google Play Music for Samsung customers.

Under the partnership, Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ owners will be able to upload and stream up to 100,000 of your own songs to Google Play Music for free. This limit is 50,000 for other Play Music users. Moreover, new Samsung phones and tablets will now come with a free three-month trial of Google Play Music music streaming subscription service that offers ad-free and on-demand access to more than 40 million songs and thousands of playlists. You also get access to YouTube Red where that’s available.

Google also said that Play Music will support Bixby — Samsung’s smartphone assistant — once support for voice commands is actually ready to roll out. This will allow subscribers to ask Bixby to play their favorite song or music.
