Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) and J7 (2016) make an appearance on Bluetooth SIG




The updates to the Samsung Galaxy J lineup for the year 2016 have been confirmed yet again through listings on Bluetooth SIG. The devices in question are the Galaxy J5 (2016) and Galaxy J7 (2016).

The smartphones were submitted for certification early in January. The original Galaxy J5 and J7 were announced in June last year so we are expecting a similar time frame for the launch this year as well.

Not much is revealed about the specifications of both the devices from the listing but we do get a confirmation regarding their existence. The model numbers in question are SM-J7108 and SM-J5108. Both the handsets should be running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box when they release later this year.

Xiaomi Mi 6 with 5.15-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 835, 6GB RAM, 12MP dual rear cameras announced

Xiaomi just announced its flagship Mi 6 smartphone at an event in China, as it had promised . It packs a 5.15-inch 1080p display similar to the Mi 5S. It also has reading mode that cancels blue light and 1-nit ultra dark night display for reading at night. This is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 835 processor, has 6GB of RAM and also comes with 12-megapixel dual rear cameras, one with wide-angle lens and other one with telephoto lens. It also has portrait mode, similar to the iPhone 7 Plus for blurring background objects and 2x optical zoom. Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2016 set for Feb 21 in Barcelona, Galaxy S7 and S7 edge expected

 After the leaked screen-grabs from the official video, Samsung has officially announced  its Galaxy Unpacked 2016 on February 21st in Barcelona, before the MWC show floor opens on February 22nd. As we already know, the Korean giant is expected to announce its flagship Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 edge smartphones at the event. According to  recent rumors , it is not expected to announce the Galaxy S7 edge+ at the event. The invite has the usual glowing box in usual Samsung fashion. It also shows a man wearing the Samsung VR headset and looking at the box. The teaser video also has #TheNextGalaxy tag and the Feb 21 announcement date.
