Apple’s brand new 4-inch iPhone SE goes official

After being out of service for a brief period, the 4-inch iPhone is back with some goodness. Apple is naming the new model as ‘SE’ – which can be depicted as an ‘enhanced’ version of the 5s or refer to as a ‘special edition’.

 So what’s so special about the special edition? Well, the Cupertino giants have retained most of the external design from their previous 4-inch flagship, but the internals have all gotten better. To start off is the all new A9 and M9 processors – the same one that powers the 6s line up.
There’s absolutely no doubt that the new silicon’s offers a significant upgrade from the A7 and M7 chips that were used in the 5s. With the latest processors on board, the SE will be able offer superior performance and also support better motion tracking, always-on ‘Hey Siri’ among other new features.

Apple bundling the new 4-inch model with NFC chip, which means that you can enjoy the company’s Pay service. The 5SE is coming with upgraded camera and we are talking about the same 12 megapixel sensor that shoots 4K video, which we first saw on the 6s. The snapper will be capable of capturing live photos.
We would like to bring it to your notice that the iPhone SE is not sporting a 3D Touch sensitive display. It houses a retina panel with a resolution of 640 x 1136 pixels. Apple iPhone SE comes out of the box with iOS 9.3 operating system. The TouchID from the 5s has been retained. And, the Cupertino giant claims to have improved the network performance on SE by about three times on Wi-Fi and about 50% on LTE speeds as compared to 5s.

The iPhone SE will replace the 5s positioning and this also means that 5s will be discontinued permanently. Apple’s latest offering will be up for grabs in space gray, silver, gold or rose gold paint and will come in 16GB and 64GB memory options job. The base model is priced at $399, while the top end version cost you $499. The new iPhone starts shipping on March 31 in the US.
