Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge launched in India for Rs. 48900 and Rs. 56900

Samsung just launched its flagship Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge smartphones in India, as it had promised last week. Both these were announced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona last week, pack a 5.1-inch Quad HD and 5.5-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED always-on displays, respectively. These are powered by an Octa-Core Exynos 8 Octa 8890 SoC, run Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), come with a 12-megapixel Dual pixel rear camera with LED flash, OIS and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

These have a 3D glass and metal design, IP68 ratings water and dust resistance and hybrid dual SIM support that lets you use the second slot as a expansion slot when required.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge come in Black Onyx, Gold Platinum, White Pearl and Silver Titanium colors and are priced at Rs. 48,900 and Rs. 56,900 for 32GB variants, respectively. Both these are available for pre-order starting today, till March 17th and go on sale from March 18th. All the pre-orders get a free Gear VR headset. These phones also come with double voice and data offer for Vodafone RED customers for 6 months.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Press Image Surfaces

Ladies and gentlemen, we now have what might be the very first renders that accurately present Samsung's Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge, both of which will likely be announced next month at MWC 2016 (on February 21, to be exact). Revealed by @evleaks , the renders seem to be press images that may have originated from Samsung (thus not being fan-made renders). In the past, @evleaks unveiled accurate images of many new smartphones ahead of their official announcements, so we're inclined to believe that the new renders are legit. LeEco (formerly known as Letv) today announced that it sold 70,000 Le 1s smartphones in just 2 seconds in the first flash sale at 12 noon on Flipkart. The company said that this is a new record in India. Yesterday Flipkart announced that it received over 5,30,000 lakh registrations for the smartphone within 10 days after registration opened.
