Lenovo schedules MWC 2016 event on February 22 to launch a new smartphone

After teasing a new smartphone launch for the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016, Lenovo today sent out invites for the MWC launch event on February 22nd. Dillion Ye, Vice-President, Asia Pacific, Lenovo, Sudhin Mathur, Director- Lenovo smartphones and Sridhar Ramaswamy, Director – Marketing, Lenovo will be present at the event. 
According to earlier teaser, this will likely be the international variant of the Lemon 3 that was introduced in China last month. It could be announced in a different name for the global markets and might come with different specifications.
To remind you, the Lenovo Lemon 3 packs a 5-inch 1080p IPS display, 450 nits brightness, is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 64-bit processor with Adreno 405 GPU, has 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage with expansion slot, runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop), has dual SIM support, 4G LTE connectivity, 13MP rear camera with LED Flash, 1080p video recording, 5MP front-facing camera and a 2750mAh battery.
The global variant might have 3GB of RAM. The phone comes in Gold and Silver colors and was introduced in China for 699 Yuan ( US$ 107 / Rs. 7,290 approx.).
The Lenovo launch event starts at 12:00 noon CET (4:30 PM IST) on February 22nd. We will be there at the event to bring you all the details about the smartphone.
